Shenyang holds summit on intelligent robotics, applications

The 12th International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications kicked off in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Aug 9.

The conference was sponsored by the Shenyang Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of Robotics. Its theme was “Robot Times” and it attracted the participation of more than 600 academics and experts from home and abroad.

Organizers said the conference encouraged participants to swap notes and ideas on the application of robotics, automation, mechatronics and related technologies. It focused on cutting-edge topics and the latest research results, to conduct academic discussions and professional exchanges.

Reports on around 40 themes were delivered, including mobile robots, underwater robots, virtual reality and augmented reality.
