Heihe University

Heihe University, founded in 1958, is located in Heihe city, Heilongjiang province. It is the only university of higher learning in China on the 4,300-kilometer border between China and Russia.

The university covers 564,600 square meters, with a construction area of 244,400 sq m. The value of teaching and scientific research equipment at the university is 100.08 million yuan ($14.17 million). It has 14 secondary institutes offering 39 undergraduate programs.

There are 816 faculty members, 550 of whom are full-time teachers, among whom are 26 doctors and 394 masters. There are 10,317 full-time students. The university had three provincial key specialties and one provincial key construction discipline during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015).

Relying on its geographical advantages, Heihe University has broadened its international vision of running a school, actively explored the mode of personnel training for joint operation, and conducted extensive educational cooperation and exchanges with Russian colleges and universities, such as exchanging students, experts, holding academic exchanges, cultural and sports exchanges, and jointly training undergraduate and postgraduate students.
