The China Association of Performing Arts (CAPA) has released a blacklist of 59 online livestreamers for their inappropriate acts and violations of rules.

The blacklisted anchors will be banned from registering and performing on livestreaming platforms for as long as five years, the Online Live Performance (Streaming) Branch of the CAPA said in a statement published on its official Wechat account.

The branch received reports from livestreaming platforms about rule violations of involved anchors before reviewing the information and releasing the blacklist.

Some vulgar livestream performances, as well as those for speculation that go against social order and moral codes, have tarnished the livestreaming industry, said the statement.

The CAPA branch issued a trial regulation for managing livestreaming and blacklisted 63 wrongdoing anchors in 2018.
