China’s first provincial-level scientific and technological talent center was unveiled in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 30. It will serve as a platform for introducing talents to help revitalize Liaoning province, part of the old Northeast China industrial base.
In response to the talent and innovation-driven development strategy of Liaoning, the center will focus on implementing national and provincial talent development strategies to create a better business and working environment and establish a professional talent service platform.
Around 180 officials and business representatives, including people from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the science and technology bureaus of cities in Liaoning, and more than 30 intelligent manufacturing enterprises, attended the unveiling ceremony.
Chai Tianyou, academic of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to deliver a speech on “artificial intelligence (AI) and the internet”.
In addition, a series of 50 talent policies in line with the technology and production needs of intelligent manufacturing and biomedicine enterprises was launched.
