Chongqing Jiaotong University

Chongqing Jiaotong University, established in 1951, is a multiversity themed on engineering. The university gained its name in 2006 and began granting doctorates in the same year.

The university has three campuses – Nan'an, Shuangfu and Daping campuses – covering more than 200 hectares with an overall building area of over 830,000 square meters. The university's library has more than 4.4 million paper and electronic documents, more than 1,500 kinds of periodicals and magazines, and more than 100 databases in Chinese and foreign languages.

Chongqing Jiaotong University employs over 2,000 staff members with more than 700 holding senior titles. It has over 27,000 students, with over 3,500 postgraduate and doctoral students. After years' of development, the university has cultivated more than 150,000 talents in various fields.

The university has carried out international cooperation and communication with over 50 universities in the United States and Europe. In 2004, the university began enrolling international students from all over the world.
