Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences

Chongqing University of Arts and Science, located in Chongqing's Yongchuan district, is a full-time general undergraduate institution of higher learning held by Chongqing Municipal People's Government.

The university has two campuses – Honghe and Xinghu campuses – covering 118 hectares and an overall building area of 710,000 square meters. The library has 2.87 million books. The teaching equipment at the university is worth 340 million yuan ($49.28 million).

Its professional staff members include more than 510 with senior titles, 350 with doctoral degrees and 40 are foreign teachers or experts.

There are 20,000 students on campus and they come from more than 20 provinces, autonomous regions and cities. The university has also enrolled more than 100 international students from counties such as Russia, Italy and Malaysia.

The university has established 19 second-class colleges and 64 undergraduate programs covering 10 fields, including literature, science, engineering, management, art and education.

It has signed cooperation contracts with 10 universities from countries such as the United States, Russia, Italy and Malaysia to carry out various projects including communication between teachers and students, cooperation in running schools and conducting scientific research.
