Airports

Anhui now has five airports: Hefei, Huangshan, Fuyang, Anqing and Chizhou, and another five airports are under construction, which lie in Xuancheng, Bengbu, Bozhou, Suzhou and Chuzhou.

In 2018, the passenger throughput of civil aviation in Anhui was 13.6 million, up 19.1% year-on-year, of which the annual passenger throughput of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport was 11.11 million, growing by 21.5 percent year-on-year.

In the future, Anhui province will focus on improving the layout of the civil airport network, and constructing Hefei Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, with the aim of speeding up the development of a modern industrial base led by the aviation economy.
