China (Nanchang) International Tea Expo
The second China (Nanchang) International Tea Expo took place at Jiangxi Exhibition Center from May 31 to June 3, 2018 .
Jiangxi enjoys a long history in tea planting which can be dated back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
According to local governments, the development of the tea industry is of strategic importance for the province. Every year, 100 million yuan is provided to support five provincial-level tea brands, including Wuyuan green tea and Mount Lu green tea.
The 2018 expo venue, which covers 10,340 square meters, comprises four parts: Jiangxi tea, tea from other provinces, overseas tea and tea utensils, with by tea firms, experts and scholars taking part. The expo also features many activities such as tea ceremony performances.
The expo was hosted by the China Tea Marketing Association, Jiangxi Agricultural Department, and the governments of Nanchang, Jiujiang, Jingdezhen, Shangrao and Ji’an.
