The Wulanmuqi Art Troupe from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region performed Saturday and Sunday at Beijing Happy Valley to promote the nomadic culture and tourism attractions of their hometown.
Held by the regional Department of Culture and Tourism, the promotional event attracted representatives from travel agencies, self-driving tour club, which gathers enthusiasts for self-driving tour, and local government organizations. To the sounds of matouqin, or the horse-headed fiddle, and humai, or throat singing, visitors could watch traditional dance shows, take pictures at Mongolian yurts and experience archery, as well as buy cultural and creative products and local delicacies from pop-up vendors.
