The first entrepreneurs festival and corporate development forum was held in Dunhua, in Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, in northeastern Jilin province, on July 18-19.
Dignitaries who attended included Cao Jiaxing, executive vice-chairman of the Jilin entrepreneur’s association, Jin Shuoren, president of the Yanbian enterprise confederation and Liu Yanzhi, Party chief of Dunhua.
At the opening ceremony, Cao read a congratulatory letter from the China Enterprise Confederation.
Jin said that it was the first time that Dunhua had held a festival for entrepreneurs, showing the city’s respect and gratitude for the dynamic influence they had and he called on entrepreneurs to start businesses there.
Liu said that Dunhua’s entrepreneurs have contributed a great deal to the area’s development and it was to be hoped that more entrepreneurs born in Dunhua and from other places would come and invest in the city, driving local economic growth.
He added that the city would continue to improve its business environment to attract more investors.
During the festival, a corporate development forum was also held, with experts discussing how to promote the upgrading of industry and its transformation as well as how to encourage the technological development of companies.
