The 2019 Zhaojun Cultural Forum, sponsored by the Chinese Association of Ethnology Studies, opened on July 13 in Hohhot, capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The forum was themed on “the development and innovation of Zhaojun culture in the past 70 years” and featured the participation of over 100 experts.
It received dozens of high-quality papers on Zhaojun culture and attracted the attendance of a large number of academics from all over the country.
During the meeting, the Chinese Association of Ethnology Study awarded certificates to the experts, and the Institute for Harmonious Culture of Hebei Province donated books to the forum.
Ma Ji, chairman of the Zhaojun Culture Research Branch of the Chinese Association of Ethnology Studies, said that Zhaojun culture has in recent years been attracting the interest of more and more people.
Ma said that the forum provided a platform for researchers to exchange ideas on Zhaojun's culture and promoted the development of the tourism industry in Inner Mongolia.
After the forum, experts visited Zhaojun Museum.
Founded in 2008, the Zhaojun Culture Research Branch of Chinese Association of Ethnology Studies plays a significant role in researching and publicizing Zhaojun culture. Currently, it has more than 800 members.
