According to a press conference held on July 15, thorough preparations for "Hainan Day" have been made. The South China island province will take full advantage of the expo's popularity to showcase Hainan's renowned environment, enticing tourism attractions, and unique garden art through artistic shows, intangible cultural heritage shows, as well as local specialty exhibitions and promotion seminars of the Hainan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and Free Trade Port (FTP).
"Hainan Day" will kick off with an opening ceremony, which will also serve as a promotion event for the province's tourism and culture, as well as the Hainan FTZ and FTP. Over the three days, more promotions will be held to increase global exposure of Hainan in terms of its tourism, duty-free shopping, healthcare, as well as its MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, and events) and wedding tourism industries.
