The 29th Qingdao International Beer Festival will open in grand style in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, offering a top-notch destination for revelers from home and abroad.
Hailed as Asia's Oktoberfest, the Qingdao International Beer Festival is the largest of its kind in Asia and one of China's biggest tourism events. With a wealth of beer brands from across the globe participating in it, the festival is brimming with diverse cultures, artistic performances, and sports events.
This year, the festival will have five major venues in West Coast New Area, Laoshan district, Chengyang district, Jimo district, and Pingdu county. Other districts and counties will also host various beer-themed celebrations.
The festival will be celebrated from July 26 to Aug 18 in West Coast New Area's Beer City. More than 1,400 kinds of beer from all over the world will be on sale in the nine grand tents inside the Qingdao Beer City.
The Laoshan venue will host the festival from July 26 to Aug 25. Equipped with eight distinctive grand tents and a beer-themed garden covering about 70,000 square meters, the venue is slated to amaze residents and tourists with its festive carnival devoted to beer.
The Chengyang venue will organize the event from July 20 to Aug 18. The Jimo venue will host from July 12 to Aug 25, while the Pingdu venue will organize it from July 12 to Aug 28.
