Beer Duck (啤酒鸭 pí jiǔ yā)
Beer Duck, a distinctive dish with a unique flavor, is very popular in China. It is said that the cooking method originated in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The dish has many recipes but the main ingredients are duck and beer. Braised with beer, the duck meat will have a stronger flavor, making it not only fresh but also with the added cool flavor of beer. Duck meat is especially suitable to eat in summer and autumn.
