Zhejiang Lab -- a research institute jointly built by the Zhejiang provincial government, Zhejiang University and China's tech giant Alibaba Group -- recently launched a fund program for talented international young people, local media reported on July 15.

With an annual maximum fund of up to 100,000 yuan ($14,550) per person, the program targets young scientific researchers with less than three years of work experience or full-time postgraduate and doctoral students, capable of engaging in high-level scientific research in the fields of intelligent computing, intelligent networks and intelligent perception.

No more than 30 successful candidates will receive the funding each year, according to the guidelines.

Established in September 2017, Zhejiang Lab is a new research institution in China focusing on basic scientific research and technological breakthroughs via big data and cloud computing.

The Zhejiang Lab International Youth Talent Club was founded last year serving as a platform for talent individuals to exchange ideas in the areas of artificial intelligence and network information.
