A forum between China and Japan on the green development of agriculture was held in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 11.
Sponsored by the China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchanges (CAST), the Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology, and the China Association of Agricultural Science Societies, the forum brought together agricultural experts from China and Japan to discuss the green development of agriculture and animal husbandry.
At the forum, experts from the two countries offered advice on the development of Inner Mongolia's agriculture and animal husbandry, recounted their experiences in green development, and shared their development achievements. They also discussed their experiences in Japanese agricultural development and explored the development concepts of the Japanese agricultural economy.
Ouyang Xiaohui, vice-chairman of Inner Mongolia, said at the forum that only by promoting the structural reform of supply-side agriculture, developing green agriculture and rural tourism, protecting natural resources, and improving the natural environment can we better meet the needs of urban and rural residents and turn natural resources into economic and social resources.
