A celebration was held in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on July 11, marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of sister-city relations between Toyokawa, Japan and WND on April 15, 2009.
Wang Jinjian, Party secretary of WND, and Takemoto Yukio, vice mayor of Toyokawa, attended the event and exchanged ideas on further cooperation between the two sides.
Toyokawa is located in Aichi-ken in central Japan, which has an area of 102.05 square kilometers and a population of over 180,000.
Toyokawa, the center of Japan's East Mikawa inland industrial belt, has a prosperous economy with a modern manufacturing industry. It is the production base of the Shinkansen bullet train and the largest production base of Konica Minolta. Konica Minolta has built a production base in WND for printers and copiers.
