Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the 10th China Acrobatic Exhibition will be held from July 17-28 in Nanning.
A total of 40 acrobatics and magic programs, as well as six acrobatic dramas were selected for 19 performances. The opening performance of the 10th acrobatic exhibition will be the acrobatic drama Bai Niao Yi, created by the Guangxi Performance Group. The closing performance will be an acclaimed acrobatic magic show.
The plays and programs are original works created since 2015. Both revolutionary themes and Chinese traditional culture themes are included in the acrobatic dramas. The acrobatics and magic programs cover many difficult and interesting forms, such as climbing poles, shaking poles, diabolo, ball skills, and contortion.
The organizing committee will invite experts and artists to the exhibition to watch the performances on the spot and carry out evaluations of the programs. The main creative staff, performers, and experts will discuss the participating works, exchange ideas and experiences, as well as focus on the innovation and creation of acrobatics and magic programs.
Tickets for the shows range from 50 yuan ($7.28) to 180 yuan. Nanning citizens can enjoy concessionary fares with their Guangxi Cultural Welfare Card.
In addition, special performances, as well as a series of cultural and travel activities will be organized during the exhibition.
The China Acrobatic Exhibition, formerly known as the China Acrobatic Competition, was founded in 1984. In the past 35 years, the competition has launched a large number of outstanding works and talents. Since the 10th competition, the awards has been cancelled and changed to a series of performances.
