Two Ordos-based firms were listed in the 2019 edition of China’s Most Valuable Brands -- released by World Brand Lab on June 26 in Beijing -- which evaluated the financial status, brand strength and consumer behavior towards brands.
With a brand value of 101 billion yuan ($14.67 billion), Erdos, a leading wool textile company, ranked 47th on the list. It is the second year in a row that the company maintained top spot in China’s textile industry.
Elion Resources Group ranked 260th on the list, and topped the environmental protection industry for the third consecutive year with its brand value reaching 22.6 billion yuan, up 4.36 billion yuan than last year.
The World Brand Lab is an international and professional brand research institute chaired by Professor Robert A. Mundell, known as the father of the Euro currency and a Nobel laureate in economics. His consultation team are from the world's top universities, including Harvard, Yale and Oxford.
