In the first half of 2019, Qinzhou Port completed a port cargo throughput of 57.09 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 21.1 percent. Its container throughput reached 1.27 million TEUs, an increase of 25.4 percent.
In the first half of this year, Qinzhou Railway Container Center Station was completed and operated as scheduled. In addition, Qinzhou Bonded Port Area Phase I was rebuilt and expanded, making new breakthroughs in the construction of the sea-rail combined transport hub.
To date, Qinzhou Port has opened 42 container routes, including 19 domestic trade routes and 23 foreign trade routes. Goods from Qinzhou Port have reached 71 countries and 155 ports through the west Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
In addition, Qinzhou Port has further enhanced the port service environment and customs clearance service to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading operations. Since last year, the average operating efficiency of bulk cargo has increased by 17,000 tons per day, up 10 percent year-on-year; container ship efficiency has increased by 38.2 cases per hour, up 27 percent year-on-year; ships have stopped at an average of 1.56 days in the port, down 23 percent year-on-year.
