Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province vowed to expand cooperation in its pillar industries and make better use of foreign investment, according to an announcement at a municipal meeting on July 10.
Foreign investment projects must be prioritized in economic development, noted Xu Wenguang, secretary of the CPC Quzhou Committee. Xu stressed the importance of a detailed work plan and a systematic work flow.
Quzhou should be more creative and aggressive in luring attracting enterprises and talents, improving services and incubating clusters, according to Xu.
Meanwhile, departments and offices at different levels should reflect on their past experiences and avoid repeating mistakes, said Tang Feifan, mayor of Quzhou.
Tang's speech emphasized making it easier to implement foreign investment projects in terms of promotion, signing, construction, inspection and operation. Different departments should coordinate their work to eliminate potential obstacles.
Tang also emphasized the roles of major industry alliances and business promotion agencies in bringing opportunities that could help Quzhou's economy further develop.
