During the 40 years of reform and opening-up, Guizhou has evolved from a poverty-stricken area to one of China's rapidly developing areas. Guizhou's economic growth has ranked in the top three in China for many years.
During the first quarter of this year, Guizhou's GDP reached 320.58 billion yuan ($46.57 billion) with a year-on-year growth of 9.2 percent, which is 2.8 percentage points higher than the national level.
Currently more than 200 private enterprises and individual businessmen are running businesses in Guizhou, covering the areas of real estate development, property services, logistics, and food processing, which contribute to the development of both Gansu and Guizhou.
