Agreements signed between Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone and scientific research institutes and enterprises will boost the development of its advanced equipment manufacturing industry, according to information released by the zone’s management committee.
Seven companies and institutes attended a signing ceremony held in the zone on July 3, including the China Machinery Industry Federation, the Fifth Electronic Research Institute in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SIPPR Engineering Group Co Ltd and Harbin Bearing Group Co.
The agreements involve boosting promotion and investment for the city’s equipment manufacturing sector, establishing a national-level electronics scientific research laboratory, constructing an intelligent equipment manufacturing industrial park, as well as research into new energy technology.
Officials said that to advance the implementation of the projects, Harbin Economic and Technological Development Zone will roll out preferential policies and improved administration approval services to create a better business environment.
