The second Northeast Asia Art Expo will be staged in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on July 17-21.

This year’s expo has the theme “opening-up, sharing, cooperation and mutual benefits” -- to boost cultural exchanges and cooperation between Harbin and countries in the Northeast Asia region.

The main host site of the expo will cover an area of 30,000 square meters, comprising the 15,000 square-meter hall A and the 15,000 sq m hall B. A total of eight exhibition areas featuring exhibitions on digital culture, animation games, multimedia e-sports and fine art works will be set up.

A special exhibition area will be set up for Taiwan for the first time, to showcase art works and creative design works created by five Taiwan craftsmen and 10 Taiwan enterprises.

Additionally, other sub host sites will be set up in the city, including in the Harbin Culture Creative Building, Yu Zhixue Art Gallery, the Harbin International Oil Painting Trade Center and the Harbin Beer Museum.

To date, some 311 enterprises from 28 provinces and autonomous regions, as well as 35 overseas enterprises from nine countries and regions, have confirmed their participation in the expo, including enterprises from South Korea, Japan, Russia, Pakistan and Indonesia.
