During the 2019 Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition that is being held from April 29 to Oct 7, the pavilion of Southwest China's Guizhou province has been arranging different themes to promote the province every month. Its latest theme for July promotes the cool summer in Guizhou.
The design of the Guizhou pavilion is inspired by the dancing of ethnic groups in the province. It is divided into three parts to showcase Guizhou's unique ecological environment and culture.
This month, the Guizhou pavilion focuses on highlighting the province's climate and geographical location advantages. According to the introduction, Guizhou has an optimal location with the perfect humidity, temperature, concentration of negative oxygen ions, and air quality.
In addition, Guizhou is known as the province of forests and waterfalls, which provide it with wonderful sceneries. Guizhou is also known as the kingdom of animals and plants, where the number of plant species ranks fourth in the country. It is also one of the four production areas of Chinese traditional medicinal crops in China.
Guizhou has been carrying out the construction of forest pilot bases for health and conservation for three years.
Currently, Guizhou has completed 32 provincial level bases in famous scenic spots such as Fanjing Mountain in Tongren, Swan Fort Forest in Chishui, Xibu Forest in Xishui county, and Jiulong Mountain Forest in Anshun.
Guizhou has also built 40 national level forest pilot bases for health and conservation. The total number of the pilot bases is expected to reach 100 in 2020.
