The park has more than 700 apricot trees, and since 2014, it has been carrying out various apricot blossom sightseeing activities centering on hiking, environmental protection and photography.
As the "lung lobe" and the forest oxygen-bar of Changchun, the park has made important contribution to the adjustment of urban ecological environment. Among them, the birch forest, red leaf forest and lotus pond are the most characteristic plant landscapes in the city.
In fact, Changchun Nanhu Park has long been renowned for its "lotus pond", which covers an area of about four hectares and is the largest lotus viewing place in Changchun city, with planting more than 100,000 "ancient lotus" plants and 1,300 water lilies.
