An airplane operated by JC International Airlines landed at Sanya Phoenix International Airport on July 2, marking the launch of a brand-new flight route connecting the Hainan city of Sanya with Sihanoukville in Cambodia.
It is the second route that Sanya Phoenix International airport has operated to Cambodia, after its first line to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, opened on Dec 30, 2016. Currently, the airline network of Sanya Phoenix International Airport covers the Southeast Asian cities of Singapore, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Sihanoukville.
The Sanya-Sihanoukville air route is flown by an Airbus A320 three times a week and the flight number is QD336/7. Planes take off from Sihanoukville at 23:50 and land in Sanya the next day at 2:50 local time. The return flight takes off at 5:45 and arrives in Sihanoukville at 7:00 local time.
In recent years, Sanya has been actively expanding its international air route coverage to develop its inbound and outbound tourist market. Currently, the city is connected with the world by over 40 international air routes.
