Prairie sports meet attracts thousands of participants

The opening ceremony for the 4th Inner Mongolia Prairie Sports Meet was held in Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner, Hinggan League, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 6.

According to local media reports, the event will last three days and will consist of fishing, grassland orienteering, making model airplanes, a cross-country race, and a bicycle race.

Over 1,000 outdoor sports enthusiasts from Russia, Heilongjiang, Hubei, Jilin, and cities throughout the region will participate.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Horqin Right Wing Middle Banner has sponsored the event, which is gaining in popularity.

The sports meet has become a very influential event and serves as a platform for promoting sports and grassland culture.

In addition to the aforementioned sports, the event will also consist of traditional Mongolian archery contests and local horse club activities.
