The southern Chinese metropolis Guangzhou once again electrified the Summer Davos Forum on July 2 through a special "Guangzhou Night" event that featured artistic shows and tasty delicacies.
The 2019 World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which is also known as Summer Davos, was held in Dalian, northeast China's Liaoning province from July 1 to 3. Entitled "Leadership 4.0: Succeeding in a New Era of Globalization," the forum gathered nearly 2,000 guests including government officials, business people, experts, and reporters from more than 120 countries.
It is the fifth year for Guangzhou to host the "Guangzhou Night" at Summer Davos forums. This year, it featured promotions of Guangzhou's city image by means of displaying local traditional cuisines and staging shows featuring Lingnan music, Cantonese Opera, and distinctive southern lion dances.
