The People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held the launching ceremony of the Guangxi E-health Card on June 28, marking the beginning of a new stage in the development of smart healthcare in Guangxi.
The Guangxi Health Commission started the construction of the Guangxi Electronic Health Card in October 2018 and selected Guangxi People's Hospital, Liuzhou Workers' Hospital, and Hechi City Health Commission as the first batch of pilot units in Guangxi.
To date, the construction of an autonomous region-level card management platform, the transformation of the hospital card environment, as well as the innovation and integration of smart healthcare applications have been completed.
The e-health card is a national unified standard medical service card designed and distributed by the National Health Commission for urban and rural residents. It can realize cross-institutional and cross-regional medical treatment.
Each resident can apply for a unique, lifetime e-health card with an ID card. Residents can complete the online application by following the relevant WeChat public accounts. People who do not use mobile phones, such as seniors and children, can apply for it at the hospital with their ID card.
Residents can complete online and offline registration, payment, medical consultation, as well as inspection reports at the hospital with the e-health card. The e-health card enables electronic health records for residents and realizes the sharing of medical records between different hospitals, authorizing doctors to assist diagnosis and reducing patient repeated inspections.
Currently, 211 medical institutions across Guangxi are covered by the e-health card. In addition to claiming e-health cards, users can also obtain services such as maternal and child healthcare, family doctor signing, poverty alleviation health services, health records inquiry, convenience inquiry of medical institutions, medical management information inquiry, as well as other related services.
