The Harbin bureau of China Railway Co will add 14 trains to popular summer tourism destinations and neighboring cities to cope with the summer holiday travel rush from July 10 to September.
The services are mainly targeted at university students and medium and long -distance tourists.
The additional trains include high-speed trains running from Harbin to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Dalian, Chengde, Jiamusi and Mudanjiang, as well as slow trains from Harbin to Hailar, Genhe and Sunfenhe, and trains from Suihua to Mohe.
This will be the first time for Harbin bureau to launch a high-speed railway train linking Harbin to China’s most popular summer resort Chengde in North China’s Hebei province. It will shorten the previous running time to about four hours and 30 minutes, providing convenience for tourists wanting to avoid summer heat.
