Stanton Chase International, a global retained executive recruiting firm, signed an intention settlement agreement with Xiacheng district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province at a summit on June 27.

The 2019 Hangzhou China International Human Resource Summit, which aims to build a platform for exchange and cooperation between worldwide human resource institutions, attracted over 2,000 specialists from the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy.

Stanton Chase International is the highest ranked executive search company to set up operations in Zhejiang province so far.

Liu Yin, Party secretary of the district, said that the human resources industry is a pillar of Xiacheng, and greatly benefits from the city's preferential policies, sound ecological environment and broad development prospects.

"We share a similar corporate philosophy with Hangzhou and we believe that the industrial environment in the city is good for our development," said Lucas Schellenberg, global leader of Stanton Chase International and managing director of the Zürich office, adding that Hangzhou's rich experience in retail is also one of the main factors in the company's decision.

Official statistics revealed that the total revenue created in Xiacheng district accounted for more than 50 percent of Hangzhou's total, and more than half of the city's human resource institutions are located in the district.

The district is also home to the first national human resources service industrial park in the province. Since its launch in 2014, the park has introduced a total of 274 overseas and high-end projects as well as 6,706 high-level talents.
