A total of 10 shows by artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas countries were staged at Guangdong Arts Theatre in Guangzhou on June 30, marking the beginning of an art tour.
The art tour is a key component of the First Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival. It consists of 16 exemplary works.
It will treat locals from Guangzhou, Dongguan, Jiangmen, Zhongshan, and other cities with a total of 62 performances, covering a variety of art forms such as local operas, dramas, musicals, ballet, modern dance, ethnic dance, symphonies, and folk music choruses.
The tour aims to promote cultural construction and cultural exchanges in the Greater Bay Area, build an art exhibition and cultural exchange platform for Greater Bay Area cities, as well as forge a cultural brand in the Greater Bay Area.
The 90-minute show at the Guangzhou stop featured stilted lion dances, Cantonese music, acrobatics, and other folk art forms, including classics such as the Past of Shawan, winner of Wenhua Awards, the highest prize for professional arts.
