The 2019 Belt and Road Quzhou Digital Economy Development Forum was held in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 28, as part of the 2019 Belt and Road International Economic and Trade Cooperation Events that ran from June 28-29.
More than 300 leading experts, academics and entrepreneurs from home and abroad attended the forum to explore new opportunities for the digital economy in Quzhou.
Ku Wei, vice-president of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, Fan Yuan, president of Hangzhou-based DBAPPSecurity Co, Lu Jiang from Huawei Technologies Co, and other experts in the digital economy, shared their ideas on artificial intelligence, big data and information safety.
The Yangtze River Delta Smart City Cooperative Development Service Alliance conferred on Quzhou the status of a smart YRD industry demonstration base. The two sides will integrate their resources in recruitment, capital, technology, policies and comprehensive intellectual property services-- to develop a smart industry base in the city.
On the sidelines of the forum, Quzhou released a White Paper on Digital Operating System of Future Community, an outcome of a third round of strategic cooperation with the Alibaba Group.
