Business environment in Yunnan

Yunnan reported a gross domestic product of 1,788.11 billion yuan ($261.18 billion) in 2018, up 8.9 percent year-on-year and 2.3 percent higher than the national level.

Yunnan's primary industry saw an added value of 249.89 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 6.3 percent. Secondary and tertiary industry totaled 695.74 billion yuan and 842.48 billion yuan, up 11.3 percent and 7.6 percent respectively.

The per capita GDP reached 37,136 yuan with a year-on-year increase of 8.2 percent. The total import and exported volume of Yunnan province in 2018 amounted to 29.9 billion dollars, climbing by 27.5 percent compared to that of the last year.
