The 2nd Qin Cultural Tourism Festival kicked off at Lingqu Canal Scenic Spot of Xing'an county, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on June 29.
The 100-day festival is held from mid-June to mid-September. It aims to demystify Qin culture and showcase its grandeur. It is also designed to further publicize the Lingqu Qin cultural tourism brand at home and abroad, while also promoting the Lingqu Canal's application to be designated as a World Heritage site.
A series of activities will be carried out during the festival, including a Qin culture forum, a documentary broadcast, a short video contest, a cosplay contest, a cycling competition, painting and calligraphy contests, as well as Chinese ancient music competitions.
On the day of the opening ceremony, art performances focusing on Qin culture were held at Lingqu Canal Scenic Spot. Folklore and cultural tourism activities took place, including folk performances of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), a children's Go competition, lectures on Chinese studies, performances of Jing Hong dance, Qin opera, and Changing Faces arts, as well as a sacrifice ceremony.
