The annual China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) is set to kick off in September in Xiamen, Fujian province, and will continue to promote commerce and investment among China and regions and countries involved the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), according to the CIFIT Organizing Committee.
This year's fair will establish 6,000 pavilions and three major zones -- the Investment Promotion Pavilion, the Industrial Investment Pavilion and the Maritime Silk Road Countries Pavilion -- covering a total area of 130,000 square meters.
It is estimated that governmental agencies and enterprises from nearly 60 overseas countries and regions and over 60,000 investors from more than 110 countries and regions will participate in the upcoming fair.
The Maritime Silk Road Countries Pavilion, covering an area of 2,000 square meters, aims to serve as a platform to promote investment between China and regions and countries along the ancient China Maritime Silk Road.
