Led by Bu Xiaolin, the chairwoman of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, a delegation visited Russia and Mongolia from June 22 to 28.
During the visit to Russia, Bu met with Levchenko, the governor of Irkutsk, and the two sides signed an agreement on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science and technology, culture, humanities and society. Bu also attended a Hulunbuir tourism promotional conference held in Irkutsk.
Furthermore, Bu and the acting president of the Republic of Buryatia in Russia exchanged on cooperation in various fields between the two sides and promoted the establishment of a regular inter-governmental meeting mechanism between the two sides.
During the visit to Mongolia, the two sides conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges and consultations on the constructions and implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Russia-Mongolia economic corridor, strengthening the infrastructure constructions of Inner Mongolia and Mongolia, inter-connectivity of ports, cross-border tourism development and cooperation in the humanities field.
In addition, Bu and the delegation also attended a number of local events involving the fields of China-Mongolia medical, investment and trade, cultural relics exhibitions and cultural exchanges.
