As a part of China Tourism and Culture Week, a five-day long Inner Mongolian tourism and culture week kicked off on June 27 at the National Museum of Tanzania in Dar es Salaam, the major commercial city and port of the United Republic of Tanzania in East Africa.
Sponsored by the Chinese Culture and Tourism Ministry's international exchanges and cooperation bureau, China Tourism and Culture Week aims to showcase the real China and its modern development, as well as promote tourism and cultural cooperation between China and the rest of the world.
Over 200 representatives from all walks of life from China and Tanzania attended the opening ceremony of the promotional Mongolian week.
Organizers said that all the attendees admired performances presented by Inner Mongolia's Horqin Ulan Muqir art troupe, as well exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage, cultural and creative works, and a photographic exhibition of the region's legendary grasslands.
As one of a series of activities of China Tourism Culture Week in 2019, organizers said Inner Mongolia tourism and culture week will help the Tanzanian people to further understand Chinese culture and grassland culture and create a new opportunity for exchanges between Inner Mongolia and Tanzania.
