A land-sea transport network will take form as an urban portal transport hub, which also will have tourism functions, according to Huang Xin, chairman of Zhuhai Jiuzhou Holdings Group.
Jiuzhou Bay Area, where Jiuzhou Port sits in Jida, is the major land area of Blue Sea Economy Industrial Park. It is to set example as a comprehensive transport hub and coastal international leisure and tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Jiuzhou is a national Category 1 port sanctioned by the National Office of Port Administration in 1982. It has grown into China's largest waterway passenger port, receiving more than 5 million passengers annually.
