The 2019 Clean Energy Expo China (CEEC) is scheduled to be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, from Sept 4 to 6, according to a news conference held on June 26.
With the theme of the "Integrated Development of Clean Energy", this year's expo will display a wide range of cutting-edge power generation technology and equipment, including photovoltaic power generation, solar energy, wind power generation, energy storage, hydrogen energy, fuel cells and smart energy, all across a 20,000 square meter exhibition area.
Around 300 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions across the world are expected to participate.
First launched in 2010, the CEEC has developed into a large and influential trading platform in the industry which aims to serve as a way for government departments, power companies, research institutions and equipment manufacturers to explore business opportunities and forge partnerships.
As this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, a featured exhibition showcasing clean energy achievements over the past seven decades will be held.
Over 10 forums and summits, including an international forum on Belt and Road clean energy cooperation, will also be staged alongside the expo, with 2,000 representatives gathering to share insights on industry development.
Wang Guiqing, vice chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, noted that the clean energy industry and related technology from China are mushrooming in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The overseas photovoltaic projects in these countries have become an important driving force for the export of Chinese photovoltaic products, he said.
