The China (Hohhot) International Tea Industry Expo is set to be held in the capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 5 and will last for four days, according to a media conference held on June 26.
The expo will be organized by the Chinese Culture Promotion Industry, Hohhot culture, tourism, radio and television authority, the Hohhot business department and other institutions.
Organizers said that the event will boast an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, with a planned 1,000 stands.
Tea sellers and producers from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other cities across China and the world will attend the expo.
In addition to a variety of tea, products such as tea sets will also go on display at the expo.
During the expo, round-table talks on opportunities and challenges in the tea industry, a competition inf tea art, and a forum on the Tea Road -- a 13,000 kilometer route that first appeared in the 17th century and which ran from China to Russia and Mongolia -- will also be staged.
It is expected that more than 100 tea companies and 500 tea dealers will attend the expo, making the expo an international platform to demonstrate tea culture and boost the tea business.
