Zhanjiang celebrates gender equality on Day of Seafarer

An event with the theme of "Gender Equality on Board" was held at the port of China Oilfield Services in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province to celebrate the Day of the Seafarer on June 25.

The event advocated for people to pay attention to and care for seafarers, as well as established the concept of equality between males and females on board.

It further enhanced the public's understanding of the maritime industry and seafarers, as well as promoted the spirit of "patriotism, progress, and dedication." Efforts were made to create an equal, friendly, and respectful working environment on board for female crew members.

Representatives from the Zhanjiang municipal maritime safety bureau, Zhanjiang International Seafarers' Club, China Oilfield Services Shipbuilding Co, and Guangdong Ocean University attended the event.
