Zhanjiang to launch free city tour next month

Thousands of Zhangjiang citizens will take part in one-day city tours free of charge to gain an in-depth understanding of the city's development and changes, which will launch starting on July 1. The tours are also designed to stimulate the public's love and pride in their hometown, as well as to enhance their confidence in the future development.

From July 1 to the end of December, a group tour will be held every Saturday and Sunday with about 150 people in each group.

The event is being hosted by the Zhanjiang culture, radio, film and television, tourism and sports bureau. It is being co-organized by the management committee of Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone and Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co.

People can register online from June 25. Considering comprehensive factors such as physical conditions, the age of the citizens who are interested in registering for the event must be between 18 and 65 years old.
