The third Shenyang Creative Design Week concluded in Shengjing Grand Theater of Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on June 20.
This year’s event was themed on “creative designs for the city”, with more than 400 activities held in 13 districts and counties in Shenyang.
It highlighted six forums on architectural design, art design, industrial design, interior design, fashion design and visual design, as well as five competitions such as a cultural creative product design competition and the 2019 China Interior Design Annual Selection.
An awarding ceremony was held on June 20 to reward individuals, organizers and enterprises who have delivered excellent design works or contributed to the event.
Compared to the event of its type held before, this year’s event attracted the participation of over three million people, a year-on-year increase of 50 percent.
Also, some creative design works selected in the event, for example, a light decoration designed by Shenyang Imperial Palace, have received orders and been put into production.
“Shenyang's creative design industry is still in its initial stage of development, and has not yet formed a complete industrial chain, but the results of creative design activities are gratifying and the potential and prospects as as expected,” said the director of the organization committee of the Shenyang Creative Design Week.
