Nanning hosts convention & exhibition forum

The 2019 China International Leaders Forum for Conventions & Exhibitions was held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region from June 23 to 25, aiming to build a high-end and international platform for the exchange and cooperation of the Chinese and foreign exhibition industries.

Co-sponsored by China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, Guangxi International Expo Group, and China Convention and Exhibition magazine, the forum included the plenary session, the China-foreign exhibition industry summit, the China exhibition industry training lecture, and the preparatory meeting of the China Convention and Exhibition Leaders Club.

Representatives gathered in Nanning to explore the opportunities of global exhibition development, challenges of the sustainable development of China's exhibition industry, as well as development and economic trends of the exhibition industry.

Wang Lei, director general of the Guangxi International Expositions Bureau, said at the forum that China's convention and exhibition industry should grasp the future development direction from three aspects, including targeting the international market accurately, planning innovative exhibition themes, and cultivating the main body of its exhibition industry.

Wang also encouraged guests at the forum to participate in the 16th China-ASEAN Expo, which will be held on Sept 20-23.
