Shanxi, South Korea strengthen trade and investment ties

Shanxi province signed over 20 projects with South Korea at a recent China (Shanxi) and South Korea Investment and Trade Symposium in Seoul, capital of South Korea. 

The symposium was sponsored by the Shanxi Provincial Government, the 21st Century ROK-China Exchange Association, and the Korea International Trade Association. 

The joint projects involved equity investment, trade, attracting talent and professionals, and technology, marking a new chapter in the cooperation between Shanxi and South Korea, said Luo Huining, Party chief of Shanxi province. 

The two sides also signed a cooperation framework agreement at the symposium.

Kim Han-kyu, chairman of the 21st Century ROK-China Exchange Association, said that Shanxi province is rich in natural resources and has great potential for development, and that there is huge potential for cooperation between the province and South Korea.
