Tianjin ranks ninth in most potential Chinese cities in digitalizing B&R countries, according to the research "Most Potential Chinese Cities in Digitalizing Countries Involved in the Belt and Road Initiative".
It was released by research platform China Info 100 in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
"Digitalizing the Belt and Road" refers to cities using modern information technology to promote the communication and cooperation of countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and accelerating the process of the informatization of these nations, said Jiang Qiping, a member of China Info 100, and secretary-general of the Informatization Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Evaluation indices include the cities' development levels in digitalization, economy, society, population, scientific and technological innovation, transportation, finance, and opening up.
