The 4th Tourism Ministerial Conference of China, Russia, and Mongolia was held in Ulaanqab, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 23 with the aim of deepening trilateral cooperation in the tourism sector.
Luo Shugang, China's minister of culture and tourism, Alexey Konyushkov, deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation, and Ts. Tsengel, state secretary of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism of Mongolia, attended the event, along with hundreds of representatives from the Tea Road International Tourism Alliance and the three countries' tourism, culture, academic, and media sectors.
2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China, Russia, and Mongolia. With the continued implementation and promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, business dealings between the three countries have created new opportunities for development.
At the meeting, leaders of cultural tourism departments in China, Russia, and Mongolia delivered speeches on the achievements of cultural tourism cooperation among the three countries and discussed the future prospects of such cooperation.
At the Tea Road Cultural Tourism Development and Innovation Forum after the meeting, representatives from culture and tourism departments and enterprises from the three countries delivered speeches on the significance of Tea Road tourism on international cultural tourism and the Eurasian Economic Union, and also shared their own experiences. Relevant developments were also analyzed and discussed at the forum.
