Hangzhou unveils new intelligent manufacturing park

The Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Industrial Park opened in Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang province on June 19, with an initial group of six companies signed on to begin setting up operations.

Covering an area of 20,000 square meters, the park will serve as an intelligent manufacturing innovation and entrepreneurship platform and an incubator for small and medium-sized companies.

With a focus on new equipment, new energy and new materials, the park will introduce hi-tech projects related to intelligent industry, mobile network technologies, technological innovations, scientific and technological medical care, and artificial intelligence.

"The enterprises in the park are innovative businesses in the intelligent manufacturing industry," said an official from Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone, adding that the opening of the park marks a milestone for the zone in driving forward innovation and development in intelligent manufacturing.

It is expected that by the end of 2021, Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone will achieve an industrial output value of 30 billion yuan ($4.36 billion) and introduce 10 listed and 115 high-tech companies, with a high-tech output value of 25 billion yuan.
